2 . Name the functions o f the thalamus. 3. List the functional groups o f thalamic nuclei and
their connections. 4. List the clinical manifestations o f thalamic lesions. 5. Describe the general organization and functions of
the hypothalamic nuclei. 6 . Describe the clinical significance o f the pituitary
gland, and list the hormones secreted by the anterior and posterior lobes and their functions.
