Objectives 1 . Know the types and functions of the cells of the nerv
ous system and be fam iliar w ith the terms nuclei, ganglia, fasciculus, and tract.
2 . Define the boundaries o f the major anatomical lev els (supratentorial, posterior fossa, spinal, and periph eral), and identify the major anatom ical structures contained in each level.
