ABSTRACT
As explained in Chapter 1, there are situations in which a one-dimensional model is not enough to describe the processes occurring inside equipment with reasonable accuracy. However, in many situations, that approach may lead to a reasonable representation of a real situation, even for cases involving pulverized combustion and gasification of solid fuels [1, 2].
