N NAND A Boolean operation in which the output is 0 if both inputs are 1 and the output is 1 if either of the two inputs is 0.
near point The nearest point at which a human can focus on an object with accommodation. It is different from the least distance of distinct vision. The lenses of the human eye become harder with age which causes the nearest point to recede with age. See also least distance of distinct vision.
