ABSTRACT
In the U.S., there are more than 70,000 synthetic chemicals currently in commercial use, and for most of them, their toxicity is not widely known or understood. More than 60,000 of them are thought to be potentially harmful and their effects
could be devastating, causing cancer, neurological and reproductive disorders, or other injuries.
