ABSTRACT
FILTERING is one of the most common DSP operations. Filtering can be used for noisesuppression, signal enhancement, removal or attenuation of a specific frequency, or to perform a special operation such as differentiation, integration, or the Hilbert transform [1]. While this is not a complete list of all of the possible applications of filters, it may serve to remind us of the importance of filtering.
