ABSTRACT

With the the evolution of networks and the improvement in networks management, researchers and engineers are constantly investigating new theories and techniques to meet the enhancing challenges in network management. A set of enabling technologies are commonly recognized to be potential candidates for network management. Figure 4.1 presents a classification of the existing solutions. Their potential benefits to network management are examined, and their drawbacks and postulates on their prospects are investigated and discussed in this chapter.
