ABSTRACT
MW 129.02; CAS [108-80-5] solid crystals that may occur as dihydrate; loses water of crystallization on exposure to air; evolves cyanic acid on heating; does not melt; slightly soluble in cold water (0.5%) but much more soluble in hot water; soluble in pyridine, hot alcohols, HCl, H2SO4, and caustic soda solution; insoluble in cold methanol, ether, benzene, acetone, and chloroform.
