ABSTRACT
Resource pools allow you to control the distribution of CPU and memory resources on ESX servers or in VMware clusters. The benefit of resource pools is that you can assure standards of performance of the VMs where needed. You can also constrain VM administrators and not allow them to use more resources than they are entitled to.
