ABSTRACT
Relations and functions play a major role in many branches of mathematics and sciences. Historically, the concept of a function was introduced prior to the concept of a relation. However, a relation is more general entity than a function. Therefore, in this chapter we will consider relations and in the next chapter we will consider functions.
