ABSTRACT
This chapter gives a brief overviewof the structured singular value (μ). Theμ-basedmethods discussed are useful for analyzing the performance and robustness properties of linear feedback systems. Computational software for μ-based analysis and synthesis is available in commercial software products [2,4]. The interested reader might also consult the tutorials in references [8,14], and application-oriented papers, such as [1,6,13].
