ABSTRACT

Supramolecular chemistry, according to its most popular dešnition, is “the chemistry beyond the molecule, bearing on organized entities of higher complexity that result from the association of two or more chemical species held together by intermolecular forces” [1]. The šeld has developed at an astonishingly fast rate during the last three decades, and it soon became evident that a dešnition strictly based on the nature of the bond that links the components would be limiting.
