ABSTRACT

Toxicology as a whole, and acute toxicology in particular, is very much a moving target. No author can realistically hope to capture its entire scope in a single volume, or to have a book when it is actually published reflect the state of the art. One can, however, try to at least point out any significant areas that have not been adequately addressed and present the problems and forces which are (or should be) causing the field to change. In this last chapter, we will try to draw together all of these miscellaneous points.
