ABSTRACT
Ethylene glycol dinitrate (EGDN) or nitroglycol or glycol dinitrate is a transparent colorless liquid explosive used as a freezing point depressant in low temperature dynamites.1 It has a comparable explosive energy to nitro glycerin but is less sensitive and more stable. Because of its high volatility it is not used in military propellants.
