ABSTRACT
A more restrictive definition of immunotoxicity is utilized in this section than in the following section on pesticides. Although immunotoxicity is defined as any organic solventinduced perturbation to the immune response, immune cells, or hemopoiesis, not included in this section are the many citations regarding the genotoxicity of the compounds. There is an enormous number of published studies on virtually all industrial organic compounds focusing stricdy on this topic (for example, Reference 1); therefore, it was concluded that the readers would be well served by these sources and to repeat them here would be unnecessarily redundant.
