ABSTRACT
Like urban planning, good land division design is both an art and a science requiring a high degree of technical skill and full realization of the importance of the design to the various interests involved and affected. Good land division design requires imagination and creativity, as well as adherence to sound principles of land planning and engineering practice and to sound development standards. For these reasons, public regulation alone is no guarantee of good land subdivision design.
