ABSTRACT
The goal of this chapter is to show how the concepts discussed in Chapter 8 can be used in practice in the R environment. More specifically, this chapter discusses the use of various descriptive statistics such as mean, median, mode, range, variance, standard deviation, etc., as well as how densities, pvalues, quantiles, and pseudorandom numbers can be obtained from the built-
properties of certain distributions, as well as the central limit theorem.
