ABSTRACT
Aluminum is the most abundant metal in the earth’s crust. It is most commonly found in minerals as alu minum silicates and as aluminum oxides. Because of the widespread occurrence of aluminum in the environment and foodstuffs, it is virtually impossible for humans to avoid exposure to this metal ion (1).
