ABSTRACT

Ideally, you could develop a database with all this information and not keep it on paper. If you are unsure how to go about it, take a course on how to use relational database software or hire a

database programmer to build it for you once you know what you want your database to be able to tell you. As a rule, relational databases are built in reverse. You design what you want to be able to search and how the reports will look when the database produces the report for you. That is what you tell your programmer. If you are going to facilitate many cases by many surgeons and many facilities, this will be critical to your efciency, productivity, and ultimately your success as a facilitator. To my knowledge, no software like this currently exists, although I know of some developers who state that they are working on it. Since they don’t know medical tourism or medicine, I am not sure how useful the database tool will be. At the time of this writing, no beta version was available for review. I am afraid they simply don’t know what they don’t know.
