ABSTRACT

Not everyone should coordinate every medical tourism case. For those who have no medical training (anatomy and physiology, terminology and nursing, at a minimum) or have never spent time working in hospitals on direct patient care or haven’t had the time to shadow a surgeon in the operating theater and through the pre-and postoperative phases of more complex cases such as transplant, advanced stage cancer care, heart value repair, or replacement, it may be more tting to coordinate simple, straightforward cases with relatively higher success rates.
