ABSTRACT
This work group report aims to provide a template for the exchange of aquatic information between ecotoxicologists and environmental fate specialists.
The EU workshop on Linking Aquatic Exposure and Effects in the Registration Procedure of Plant Protection Products (ELINK) was set up with the aim of improving guidance on linking exposure and effects in the aquatic risk assessment for pesticides using the Forum for the Co-ordination of Pesticide Fate Models and Their Use (FOCUS) (surface water). The workshop identied that a template for exchange of information between ecotoxicologists and fate specialists would be useful. The aim of this template is to increase communication and understanding between the 2 groups as well as the scientic quality of the aquatic risk assessment.
