ABSTRACT
Child abuse may be divided into three levels: collective abuse, institutional abuse, and individual abuse. Collective abuse refers to the social injustice that many children experience because they were unlucky and were born in poverty. Children suffer collective abuse by being required to eat and drink contaminated food and water, and by growing up in slums where they observe constant violence and where they are blocked from any reasonable legitimate opportunity to escape from poverty.14
