ABSTRACT

In nature, plants frequently experience a wide range of stresses. An investigation of functional plasticityisnecessarytounderstandresponsestoenvironmentalconditions,thedistributionofthe species,andtopredictthedynamicsofvegetationundertheglobalchangesofclimate.Theindices ofphotosyntheticapparatus,suchasthecomposition,thecontent,andtheratioofpigmentsare consideredtobethemostinformativetocharacterizethefunctionalplantstate(Lubimenko1963, Zalenskii 1977, Maslova and Popova 1993, Pyankov and Mokronosov 1993, Bazzaz 1996, Dymova and Golovko 2007, Golovko et al. 2007).
