ABSTRACT
Because of increased concerns about the effects of waste products on the environment, edible and biodegradable •lms have become the subjects of great interest. While there has been much work done on the creation of edible and biodegradable •lms as a batch process, the manufacture of these •lms must be economical on an industrial scale to be commercially viable. Extrusion is explored as a means to produce these •lms on a large scale.
