ABSTRACT
Chapters 1 through 3 laid out the theoretical background and principles that underpin the work of the crime scene examiner, and Chapter 4 showed them in action. Chapter 6 and those that follow it deal with the practical aspects of scene investigation. This chapter provides a bridge between theory and practice and is a reminder that the theories and principles presented so far are only a framework, the effectiveness of which depends on the personal and professional values and conduct of all the practitioners involved in the process.
