Traditional Indian medicine has been used for pharmaceutical and dietary therapy for several millennia. A number of Indian medicinal herbs and many relevant prescriptions have been screened and used for treatment and preventing various types of ailments during long-term folk practice. Among these systems, choosing a correct combination is an important goal in any therapy. In this way, we have prepared a modi‹ed indigenous preparation named Kalpaamruthaa (KA). It is a modi‹ed indigenous preparation prepared in our laboratory and contains Semecarpus anacardium nut milk extract (SA) and dried Phyllanthus emblica (PE) fruit as major constituents. Before going to the details of KA, a summary description of these plants is given.
