ABSTRACT
The research of Kansei/affective engineering started in 1970 at Hiroshima University, and since then, more than 40 new Kansei products have been developed in Japan and worldwide. Those new Kansei products have been utilized in daily life. Today, Kansei/affective engineering has spread throughout the world. Many universities are teaching Kansei/affective engineering, and industries are using Kansei/affective engineering in innovative product development.
