ABSTRACT
Before moving on to our basic discussion of fuel cells and their associated terminology and applications, it is important to point out that, although we do not consider fuel cells as frequently as we do other types of cells (e.g., cell phones), we predict that the day is coming when we will refer to our fuel cells just as commonly as we mention our cell phones-for it will be the fuel cell that will power our lives, just as the cell phone powers our communication.
