ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: Comparative analysis on basic construction regulations of Ukraine and the European Union in the area of concrete structures is presented. There is pointed that the real state of civil engineering and normative base acting in Ukraine proved the inability to accept now a Code identical to Eurocode 2 as a National design norm for concrete structures. The design Codes on concrete structures being developed in Ukraine needs to be modified at that it is necessary to provide for a transition period when the both Codes will be valid.
