ABSTRACT

This paper proposes an interface in which input is done by the user moving the equipment, offering bird's eye view like motions so that a 3D angular motion eonesponds to the 3D indication on the display screen. An experimental prototype with an LCD was developed using on an embedded system. When the user moves the device, an acceleration sensor detects 3D angular motion normally. The parameters for data entry and the indication of rotation and direction of motion are selected in the opposite direction. The device achieved our proposed idea that the users can react naturally to the motion only by moving the information device and that the indication intuitively agrees with the operation.
