ABSTRACT

Although sports nutrition goals are specic to each sport and each individual athlete, there are some common themes. The goals of the training diet include helping the athlete to get or stay “in shape,” in terms of their physique and health, as well as maximizing the adaptive response to the stimulus of each exercise session. The culmination of these adaptations is to prepare the athlete to be better able to undertake future exercise
