ABSTRACT

Supramolecular ligands are already used in food and textile industries. In the case of usage in foods, governmental regulations have already been expressed. Up to now, no comparable standards have been assigned in the textile industry. However, the regulations for other applications can be used for the evaluation of these molecules. For example, cosmetic products and clothing textiles are in contact with human skin. Thus, comparable standards may be used for the appraisal of risk exposure. These aspects are more or less not relevant for technical textiles because there is no direct contact with human skin.
