ABSTRACT
A partial list of crops and pests which are considered important are presented in Table 14.1. and potential biocontrol agents are presented in Table 14.2. These are based mostly on experience and the literature. Among the most important crops grown are coffee, sugarcane, bananas, plantains, root crops (sweet potato, yams, taniers, cassava), tomato, peppers, cabbage, cucurbits, pigeonpea, beans, citrus, pineapple, avocado and mango. There are important insect pests attacking these crops, some of them with a high potential for biocontrol (Carlos and Alejandro 2008).
