ABSTRACT
Temperature sensors can be easily produced with semiconductor processing technology by using the temperature characteristics of the pn junction. œe batch processing and well-deŸned manufacturing processes associated with semiconductor technology can provide low-cost and consistent-quality temperature sensors. œe temperature sensitivity of the pn junction is part of the transistor’s deŸning equations and is quite predictable over the typical semiconductor operating range of −55 °C to + 150 °C.
