Lack of effective communication or poor communication is the leading cause of failures in projects.1 Even when the common language is English, the message tends to get “lost in translation.” The widespread existence of virtual teams speaking different languages, and spread across numerous time zones around the globe, makes the importance of this Pillar extremely critical to the future success of project leaders.
