ABSTRACT
We review the basic concept of the joint transform correlator. The real-time joint transform correlator and rotation-invariant joint transform correlator are discussed. The interpretation of joint transform correlator based on Young fringes is also presented. The recently available liquid crystal on silicon spatial light modulator is introduced.
