ABSTRACT
In this chapter, an overview of commonly used heating and cooling systems for residential buildings is outlined. In addition, retro‘t measures as well as control strategies to improve the energy e—ciency of heating and cooling systems are provided. Moreover, calculation methods are provided to estimate energy savings due to ventilation controls, temperature settings, and energy-e—cient heating and cooling system retro‘ts.
