ABSTRACT

In this book, an approach has been put forward for how to model complex and abstract organizational resources and how to develop and manage these resources for the benefit of the organization and its employees. There is a real need for concrete and holistic development and management work with difficult and abstract concepts in companies and organizations. For that purpose, relevant concepts must be clarified so that they can be understood and used. Though we cannot directly measure abstract resources, we can indirectly ask the people who work with them how they perceive their state and development needs of these concepts through indicators. This is a shared dialogue to manage and develop common resources. Involving people also has a well-known motivational effect. The collective hands-on understanding of organizational resources in changing work situations is very valuable for management decision-making.
