ABSTRACT

Every knowledge service needs knowledge. In most cases, the knowledge is obtained by interviewing subject matter experts, that is, people who have many years of experience in the relevant subject areas. There is often a strong correlation between the quality of the knowledge service and the quality of the knowledge. So the knowledge acquisition activities that take place during the development of a new knowledge service are crucial to its quality and usefulness. A successful project, therefore, needs to involve people who can acquire knowledge in an efcient and effective manner.
