ABSTRACT
The determination of the series impedance for overhead and underground linesisacriticalstepbeforetheanalysisofadistributionfeedercanbegin. Theseriesimpedanceofasingle-phase,two-phase(V-phase),orthree-phase distributionlineconsistsoftheresistanceoftheconductorsandtheself-and mutualinductivereactancesresultingfromthemagnetic„eldssurrounding the conductors. The resistance component for the conductors will typically come from a table of conductor data such as that found in Appendix A.
