Recent years have witnessed increasing public interest in health, well-being, and physical appearance, which have been re™ected in demand not only for nutritional foods but also for cosmetics. Of the various cosmetic products, skin cosmetics have important roles, since protecting and preserving the skin is essential for good health and appearance. Mature skin suffers from essential nutrient de’ciencies (minerals, vitamins, and amino acids), causing slackening, thinning, dull complexion, irregular surface, and dehydration.
