ABSTRACT

The case study shows how a corporate plan for transformation was implemented at a 3M plant. Inputs to the effort included the CEO vision, customer validated priorities, and identification of initial projects to be implemented. In this case, four managers were initially assigned to implement seven projects. A tool employed was a “change force field” that displays motivators for change and inhibitors.
