ABSTRACT
We start with developing a ›rst, “entity-only” ER diagram in the Barker/ Oracle-like model. To recap our example used previously in the book, we have chosen a “primary” entity from a student information database: the STUDENT. A student is something that we want to store information about (the de›nition of an entity). For the moment, we do not concern ourselves with any other entities.
