ABSTRACT

In the previous studies, IR spectra of water were obtained by transmitted IR beam, because the design of optical system was relatively easy (Tassaing et al. 2002). Meer et al. (2005) implied that thin film water on solid surface differ from free water at room condition, which attributed water-solid interaction. In order to resolve water-solid interaction, optical systems must be developed, which make it possible to investigate interfacial water on solid surface, and spectroscopic measurements must be performed at high temperatures and pressures.
