ABSTRACT
One of the interesting properties of a curved surface is its curvature which is strongly related to a conic, the so-called Dupin indicatrix. Together with Meusnier’s sphere this indicatrix completely describes the curvature properties at a point of the surface. Again, the use of a local frame is the crucial tool for analysis.
