ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces some concepts that are useful for describing linear systems of equations. A system of m linear equations in n unknowns can be written as a single matrix equation
where A E F mXn, X E FnXl, and Y E F mXl. Here the entries of X are the unknowns, and each row of A corresponds to one equation.
