ABSTRACT
As we all know, the sum of a finite set of numbers is independent of the order in which the numbers are added. This is a consequence of the associativity and com mutativity of addition. The same is true for products. We shall state this fact as a formal theorem. Then we shall investigate infinite sums and products. Finally we shall develop the decimal system of representation for real numbers.
