ABSTRACT
The MICON project has developed a system that automates the synthesis of computer systems using microprocessor family components. This chapter gives an overview of all the tools in the MICON systems, describes the type of designs produced using the system, discusses relationships with other knowledge-based design tools, and provides a brief history of the project.
