ABSTRACT

With major organizational design decisions made and being implemented with systems that are transforming inputs into outputs, the organization is beginning to see results. This is the stage where people begin to commit. If we look again at the Framework for Organizational Success (Figure 4.1), we see that the organizational stage of Committing (shown on the left) aligns with the project management stage of Deploy. To deploy the systems across the organization, targeted functional and professional training will need to be conducted. Functional training is considered technical training focused on operational principles, tasks, and procedures, etc. Professional training focuses on giving people the other skills and competencies essential to the success of their position.
