ABSTRACT

Cancer is one of the major challenges for modern medicine. It is a life-threatening disease that causes abnormal and uncontrolled growth of cells. Despite successful discovery of many potential anti-cancer drugs, every year cancer kills more than six million people and the number is growing. Success in cancer treatment is often limited by inadequate delivery of anti-cancer agents to the tumour and their severe side effects in normal tissues1. Liposomes and nanohydrogels have been drawing attention due to their promising applicability for drug delivery and magnetic šeld-assisted hyperthermia.
